Needing a solution to house an extended family in Brisbane? Our designs can be configured for occupants to live in comfort and with various degrees of independence under the same roof.

We have designs for any size lots and as single storey houses and two storey houses.  Each design can be adjusted with different layouts of bathrooms etc to suit individual requirements. You will be pleased to know our designs are suitable for small lots and can be further adjusted to suit more difficult lots with steep rise and fall.

The designs we offer have been evolved over many years experience in building houses with flexible living arrangements. We have been careful to apply all this knowledge so the occupants experience the best solutions for living in the house as to control of noise, access, services and space for activities.

At the design stage, our licensed Brisbane home builders plan for space and access.  At construction, details such as a main dividing wall of core filled block-work are used.  Fittings are selected like the ultra-quiet, belt driven garage door motors and plumbing and electrical services are laid out to give maximum convenience and control of costs by occupants and house owner. Water supply is provided by having two water entries to the building down stream of the utilities meter and fitting a secondary water meter to one of the building entry lines.  Electrical supply is provided by prepaid meters* downstream of the traditional electricity providers' meter.

The extended family homes can be optioned up with all the luxury items and energy saving additions the same as any of our standard designs.

*Prepaid meters are supplied by Prepaid Solutions  prepaidsolutions.com.au The prepaid meter is fitted downstream of the utilities meter and has a keypad and screen for the occupant to purchase electricity per kWh.  The house owner has accounts with the traditional electrical provider for the overall supply to the house and also with Prepaid Solutions for each prepaid meter.  The occupant pays Prepaid Solutions for the electricity in advance and this payment is applied by prepaid Solutions to offset the house owners account with the traditional electricity provider.  The occupant can purchase electricity, in advance, via the prepaid meter in small amounts (say down to $5) so the setup is ideal for occupants of modest means.

The prepaid meter system comes into its own when connected to a solar panel supply.   The system then is able to share the advantages of cheaper electricity to both the owner and the occupant, or if preferred the owner can reap all the benefits to assist with paying off the the solar panel installation costs.
