Seaholme, a new granny flat design, 4 bedroom, single storey house, configured as two self-contained areas (3 bed & 1 bed) for investment (check local regs) extended family occupation or creative living options for young and not so young. The two self-contained areas are connected through a shared laundry.
Features of this design appeal to the widest selection of potential occupants. It’s new, comfortable, safe, well-appointed, all on one level and not in a townhouse complex. Each section has the desirable yard space for pets and children and undercover parking, all included in an affordable housing package.
The building is approved under NCC to a Class 1b structure for rooming accommodation for a maximum of five occupants in the low density and character residential zones. Fire safety is to MP 2.1 and building standards to MP 5.7 QDC.
Occupants share laundry areas, parking, power, water and recycle bins. Private meters are provided for power and water to charge each area for these services.
We have built many versions of this configuration and occupants don’t have issues with the sharing arrangements.
